My Yorkie Poo Pet

Yorkie Poos make excellent pets as Kelly Dunlop explains below

I got my first puppy twenty years ago on my tenth birthday. Since then, I have had different breeds of pet dogs. For the past 5 years, I have been having a Yorkie Poo; a crossbreed of a poodle and a Yorkshire terrier.

My Yorkie Poo’s name is Sussie. She is 8 years old, 7 inches tall and weighs 8 pounds. She is black and white in colour and her coat is smooth with wavy, silky hair. This makes her incredibly cute, and adorable. Her temperament is good-natured, playful, lively, and energetic.

There are numerous reasons why I adore Sussie. Firstly, she is a crossbreed of a poodle and a terrier, making her a smart and intelligent dog. She is small in size and therefore easier to manage than a big dog. She is a great companion since she is affectionate, active, and playful. In addition, Sussie is loyal, wise, and adorably tame.

Sussie and I enjoy lots of fun and bonding activities. On sunny days, we can play ball, fetch, fly ball, and hide and seek in the backyard. We also take walks round the neighbourhood where Sussie gets to socialise with her mates. When we are exhausted, she relaxes on my lap for some attention and a well deserved nap.

On chilly days, we keep warm by staying indoors. We play tricks for treats, play dead, dance, or just cuddle and watch dog movies. One of our greatest bonding experiences is grooming, when I brush Sussie’s coat or bath her. She really loves these sessions as they are soothing and because I give her lots of rewards afterwards.

The Yorkie Poo is a playful, happy, lively, and loyal dog that is easy to train. It is also a great watchdog that adapts to different living situations easily. Most of them are hypoallergenic and therefore ideal for people with allergies.
